Strong comeback after structural changes

Our company history spanning two and a half decades is – the lifetime of the entire IT industry - characterized by intervals of continuity and change. Within the period of a few decades, renewal processes have taken place unlike in any other sector, which are rightfully compared with the radical changes of the industrial revolution of 19th century. Today, we are proud to be able to say that we played an active and creative part in the development of the IT sector already at an early stage. We are happy about the fact that we have managed to introduce vital corporate structural changes in time to emerge as a strong, well-established and reliable partner.

  • 1989:
    Introduction of our own brands as part of Actebis Corporation for PCs and monitors

  • 1996:
    Establishment of Actebis International Distribution GmbH for private label business

  • 2000:
    Direct sales of TARGA PCs and notebooks to the discounter Lidl with a focus on end consumers

  • 2004:
    Management buy-out and change of name to TARGA GmbH

  • 2004:
    Expansion of product portfolio from PCs and notebooks to IT accessories and consumer electronics

  • 2005:
    Introduction of the successful Lidl-Fotos photo service online shop in Germany

  • 2006:
    Expansion of Lidl-Foto to Austria

  • 2013:
    Expansion of the product portfolio by products in the field of consumer electronics
